A very important part of the youth experience at First Christian Church is service to others. Chi Rho, CYF, College DOC, and “all church” groups embark on their respective annual mission trips to continue the building of Christ’s community with each other and the world at large.
First Christian serves breakfast to those in need on Saturdays in May and October as part of a downtown church feeding program.
Assistance of volunteers and resources are given to the winter homeless shelter in Columbia called Room at the Inn.
Each November, the Church in Society Department coordinates church members in gift giving to those in need through the efforts of The Voluntary Action Center.
Wine to Water
is a unique fundraiser bringing church friends together over wine, food, and the opportunity to raise money for water resource projects around the world funded through Week of Compassion.
